Parents-To-Be Programs

The purpose of our various Parents-To-Be Programs is to provide you, a parent-to-be, with the current and accurate information needed for you to make informed choices with confidence. Our programs include early pregnancy classes, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding and baby care programs and CPR.

New Parent Programs

The first year of parenthood is a very busy one as you adjust to your new role as a parent. Our New Parents Programs are specially designed to give you strength, friendship and knowledge. Our lesson plans focus on the growth and development of your child but also on your growth and development as a parent.

Parent-Child Programs

CFA has been providing Parent-Child Programs since 1981. In these many years we have developed what we know to be the perfect parent-child playgroups. Our instructors and comprehensive lesson plans combine a wide variety of age appropriate activities with music and story time. Personal attention and socialization, for you and your child, are also an integral part of our program.

Preparing For Preschool - Separation Programs

Our Preparing for Preschool Separation Programs are specially designed to promote feelings of independence and confidence in children. These programs are more structured than our traditional parent-child programs. The curriculum includes singing, counting, organized play with rules and lots of socializing. The children now manage the craft on their own. Separation for parents is encouraged and supported but NEVER forced.

“Julianne definitely has grown and matured. She is more confident and can leave my side more easily. The open door policy of the program is a nice transition and sets the program apart from the rest.” - Angela C.

In a social situation he would hide behind me, attached to my thigh to the point I felt I would have to have him surgically removed. At home he was fine. He was chatty, playful and creative. I called immediately and made an appointment to see if what I heard was true, that separation was possible and CFA programs could make it happen. The supportive and experienced staff explained the separation program philosophy and how they had cracked some pretty tough cases. CFA’s Preschool

Our professional, experienced team will see that your child has the opportunity to grow and learn in a well supervised, supportive setting with sensitivity and patience. Children will be encouraged to participate in all the interactive centers we have available in the Preschool classroom. These centers include our reading corner, computer center, arts and crafts, blocks and puzzles, creative play area and the outdoor playground.

“My boy/girl twins both had a great experience at CFA! They learned so much and made such great friends along the way! (I did too!) Miss Diane made the children in her class feel confident, important and know that they could do anything they set out to do! My children looked forward to going to school in the morning and couldn’t wait to show me their work when they got home! I think the preschool curriculum was amazing and my twins know every number and letter they worked on by the time they graduated. CFA’s Summer Camp Programs

Let the fun begin! Our Summer Camp programs provide a wide variety of group activities, plenty of outside play and lots and lots of camp songs. We also offer Kindergarten Enrichment and a very special program entitled “Miss Laura’s Book Club.” Our camp counselors are personable, caring, well trained and full of enthusiasm! The campers leave camp each day happy, tired and excited to come back.

“Mary Kahrs and her counselors/staff have been incredibly wonderful! I am a first time mother of triplets and Mary always knew the right things to say, not just to me but to all the mothers who had so many questions and anxiety! She accommodated our children as necessary and all staff complied.

Curricula For Advancement

If you are looking for the perfect curricula, you have found it! Curricula for Advancement is a vital and growing Division of CFA, Inc. In this Division we focus on the development and distribution of our program curricula for those professionals who care for and work with parents-to-be, new parents and children. Our goal is to help those who help others by providing easy to understand and implement lesson plans.
