A weekly core work out will help you flatten your tummy, regain your energy, strength and flexibility. Our enthusiastic certified personal trainer will motivate and support your journey back into your old jeans. Moms are welcome to participate after their 6 week postpartum checkup.

Participating in this very special parent education program fosters bonding and attachment between parent and child. Oh what fun you and your baby can have now! They’re exploring their surroundings and changing every day. They’re learning to sit up, roll over and crawl. Stimulate your baby’s senses and strengthen their growing body in a safe, nurturing environment.

Art Smarts is a very special art program designed specifically for the inquiring minds of preschoolers. Children have the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills with lots of hands-on activities while discovering colors and shapes using various art mediums. Art and craft will be created through their imagination and expression. Examples of famous paintings and stories are also used to captivate interest and creativity.

The curriculum reflects the season and a very special Holiday Art Smarts is offered in the late Fall. Children are encouraged to wear comfortable old clothes. The kind of clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

Sensory Street Kids is a developmental multi-sensory approach to speech and social skill enrichment through music, movement and art. The 55-minute parent-child groups, led by board certified therapists, are designed for families with infants and toddlers who are showing signs of speech and language or social delays. Our goal is to expose children to language building songs and activities and to educate parents on how to promote language and incorporate these skills into their child’s everyday lives.

Sensory Street Kids offers 3 core classes with more being planned for the new year.

La La La Language: 15 months – 30 months.
Social Circle 1: 30 months and up.	Social Circle 2: 5 years and up.
Me & My Energy 1: 3 years - 5 years.	Me & My Energy 2: 5 years and up.

LA LA LA Language: Learning how to talk is easy when you’re singing and dancing! We’ve taken a developmental approach to language acquisition and set it to music. Focus is on sound formation, imitation, single word labels and 2 word combinations.

Social Circle: Music, movement and partner games are incorporated in this fun class. Simple cooperative play is facilitated and activities focus on social use of language, turn taking and conversation.

Me & My Energy: Shake your sillies out and work your large muscle groups in this movement class. Sensory based activities, dances and obstacle courses help calm and regulate senses. Focus is on cooperation, motor planning, following directions and using and understanding action words.

CFA proudly sponsors Tot Music (Music Together) programs! Tot Musics founder, Monica Moyers, with the help of her instructors, bring enchanting and exciting music programs to our Smithtown office.

Music Together is an innovative music program developed by the Center for Music in Young Children^® specifically for infant through preschool age children. Our 45 minute class provides opportunities for children and their parents to experiment with music through songs, movement, chants and instrument play with the emphasis (and fun!!) on creating music rather than on performance. In addition, some very special bonding time is provided! Each of the song collections used in class include a wide variety of musical styles, tonalities and rhythms to provide a rich environment for children and their caregivers to grow musically.
